Encouraging interest is shown in the upcoming Chefs de Mission seminar in Minsk this 9-13 July, as representatives from 49 ENOCs will attend. The EOC and Minsk European Games Organising Committee (MEGOC) have a great deal of information to provide the NOCs of Europe and, on the other hand, their interactions and collaboration is paramount to the organisers for the success of the Games.
“Only by working together will we make the European Games as successful as they possibly can be”, stated EOC President Janez Kocijančič in a declaration to the media.
MEGOC delegation chaired by George Katulin will lead the visit together with EOC Senior Consultant Pierce O’Callaghan, European Games Executive Director Simon Clegg, EOC Sports Consultant Makis Asimakopoulos and Chair of the EOC Medical & Antidoping Commission Klaus Steinbach.
The first opportunity for the European NOCs was on 28 and 29 March 2019, when many delegates were hosted by MEGOC for the 1st Open Day and visited a number of sports venues, as well as the facilities of the Athletes’ Village.
The next and last appointment for ENOCs will be in December 2018 for the 2nd Open Day.
