On June 29, Greco-Roman wrestlers started the medal events at the 2nd European Games. The bronze went to Belarus as Soslan Daurov closed the top-three in Men’s Greco-Roman -67kg.

In bronze medal match Soslan had to withstand Oleksii Kalinichenko from Ukraine. After the chokehold Daurov used, the rival spent some time unconscious but managed to continue the bout. The Belarusian wrestler overthrew Oleksii with final score 3-2.

Soslan Daurov: «I had a black streak, my health failed. I wanted to fight for gold but everything turned out differently. I dedicate this medal to my parents, friends and most special people. I want to thank my coach and the whole team. Many thanks also for support it was very nice. At the beginning I ‘choked’ and decked the rival. Thought the victory was mine but things weren’t easy. Our guys are going to medal tomorrow. Come and support them because it gives so much strength and confidence».
