Olympic lesson at Belarus’ NOC

2 September 2024 (14.00) The Belarusian Olympic Academy together with the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of the Republic of Belarus is organizing the Olympic Lesson 2024 for students of educational institutions of Minsk.

“The event gets children familiar with the principles of the Olympic movement. They learn about Olympic values and the history of sport, study the opportunities that physical training gives them and understand how important it is to lead a healthy lifestyle,” Chairperson of the Belarusian Olympic Academy Natalya Aponchuk said.

The lesson will be held in the format of an Olympic intellectual tournament. It will feature nine teams of five people from each district of Minsk. These are school students aged 14-17. All participants will receive gifts from the organizers.

The lesson will also include a presentation of the publication “From the Brest Fortress to the Olympic Pinnacle” and an autograph session with the Olympic canoe sprint champion Sergei Makarenko.

The organizers are confident that the Olympic lesson will be a success among children and will contribute to the development of spiritual and moral values, responsibility, active citizenship and patriotism in the younger generation.
