The employees of IBA IT PARK visited the Museum of the NOC of Belarus

The Museum of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus is a popular place for excursions not only among schoolchildren and students who live and study in Minsk, but among young people across the country.

An exposition of the NOC of Belarus has been recently attracting a more mature audience as well. The employees of the international company IBA IT PARK and their families got acquainted with the history of the development of the Olympic movement on November 26. The number of the Olympic Games enthusiasts in our country has definitely increased after the excursion.

About 30 people, with representatives from three generations, came to the Headquarters of the NOC of Belarus. Visitors arrived after the end of their working day, as all of them are busy people. Those who could not attend the excursion sent grandparents. None of the visitors regretted they had chosen such a form of leisure for this evening at the end of an hour and a half excursion.

Everyone had a favorite exhibit at the exhibition. For example, a young tennis player enthusiastically was walking around the tennis racket used by Caroline Wozniacki, the former world’s top ranked player; a boy who plays soccer appreciated Anton Kushnir’s ski, with the help of which the freestyler won the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olimpics in Sochi. Furthermore, everyone liked Izzy, the official mascot of the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics, although this character has the reputation of being the most ridiculous Olympic mascot. The Hall of Olympic Fame, the interiors of the Headquarters, the exhibits of the Museum of the history of the development of the Olympic movement of Belarus, where you can try yourself in a hurdle race or in javelin throwing. The visitors also noted the fact that the excursion was not only informative, but also a lot of fun.

Lyubov, the employee of IBA IT PARK, explained the reason behind picking the Museum of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus as a place to visit on a Monday evening. “We came here at the bidding of our hearts. We signed up for the excursion to embrace the history of the country and the Olympics. I was not interested in the Olympic movement at all until this day. I was aware that the Olympic Games are being held and that was all I knew. It turned out that everything is so interesting: authentic Olympic medals, all the exhibits are authentic. It's great to see everything live and achieve a better understanding of how everything works. I think that I will definitely watch the next Olympic Games and I’m already prepared after all!” Lyubov said.

Grandmother Olga Arkadyevna brought the eight-year-old granddaughter with her, the one who was interested in the tennis racket. “I was sent on an excursion so that my talented granddaughter would see what she should strive for. To understand what the medals and equipment look like, how difficult it is to earn achievements. We were shown and told what usually remains unseen by the viewers. And I immediately realized that I have to tell my granddaughter’s class teacher about this museum as soon as possible”, Olga Arkadyevna said.

Ten-year-old Stas came to the NOC of Belarus with his mother. “I study at school number 26 and right now I am here with my mother. The most interesting thing for me was to hear about the Belarusian athletes who set records and got into the Guinness Book of World Records. I am also an athlete, I play chess. I tried to get a chess category, but have so far failed. I am training very hard for the next tournament”, the boy said.
