Today, on the 7th of May, the meeting of the Executive Committee of the NOC of Belarus was held with a view to approve the chief of mission for the III Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aires (Argentine Republic).
Thus, members of the Executive Committee made an unanimous decision that the Head of the Olympic Movement Department of the NOC of Belarus Dzmitry Dauhalionak will be the head of Belarusian sports delegation at the Games, and Vasili Iourtchik, the Head of the International Relations Department of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, will become his deputy.
As at 7 May 2018, Belarusian athletes won 12 licenses in the following sports: table tennis - 1, trampoline - 1, gymnastics rhythmic - 1, swimming - 4, shooting - 1, sailing - 1, acrobatic gymnastics - 2 , rowing - 1.
During the meeting of the Executive Committee, a number of issues concerning ongoing work of the NOC of Belarus were also discussed.
Let us remind that the III Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aires will be held in 32 sports attended by 3998 athletes (1999 boys and 1999 girls). These will be the first Games where gender equality will be observed. In total, 241 sets of medals will be awarded during 12 days of the competition.
