Belarus NOC medical and anti-doping commission holds session on 21 April

The medical and anti-doping commission of the NOC convened for a meeting at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus on 21 April.

As part of the agenda, the participants of the meeting considered changes to the composition of the commission, examined the 2020 performance report and approved the work plan for 2021. A status of the project to produce sports dietary supplements in Belarus was discussed. The commission also reviewed the proposals on diet of athletes and considered the possibility and prospects for training specialists in sports medicine.

Particular attention was paid to medical support and compliance with anti-doping requirements by athletes who will represent Belarus at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

The medical and anti-doping commission of the NOC of Belarus develops proposals on protection of athletes’ health and compliance with sports and medical ethics, formulates  a general medical and anti-doping policy and expands cooperation with medical commissions of the International Olympic Committee and the European Olympic Committees.
