NOC president hails cooperation with Kazakhstan as vibrant

President of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko met with Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Sports and Culture and the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan. The parties discussed the participation of the Kazakhstan team in the 2nd CIS Games in Belarus in 2023 and other sports events.

"Cooperation in sport with the Republic of Kazakhstan has been rapidly developing for many years. We have signed agreements; we hold joint training camps. Belarusian athletes compete at tournaments in Kazakhstan, and delegations from your country come to us," Viktor Lukashenko said. “There is also potential in expanding cooperation among educational and scientific sports institutions, for example, the Belarusian University of Physical Culture and the Academy of Sports and Tourism of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan athletes have improved much in such sports as karate and boxing. Your experience in these disciplines, I am sure, will be useful for Belarusian athletes."
