The results of the Belarusian athletes performance at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

Alpine Skiing

Belarusian Maria Shkanova took part today in women’s Super-G, and on aggregate of two runs she placed 38th with a result of 2:32.33min (+12.31).

The Olympic gold was won by US Mikaela Shiffrin who covered the course in 2:20.02min just 0.39sec prior to Norway’s silver medalist Ragnhild Mowinckel and 0.46sec to bronze awardee from Italia Federica Brignone.

Maria’s teammate Yury Danilachkin completed the men’s downhill event in 1:45.86 (+5.61) and finished 44th.

Winner of men’s downhill Aksel Lund Svindal (1:40.25) and silver medalist Kjetil Jansrud (+3.54) both represent the team of Norway. Swiss Beat Feuz took the bronze (+5.31).

Cross-Country Skiing

Yulia Tikhanova of Belarus finished 40th in women’s 10km freestyle 3:06.5min behind the winner Ragnhild Haga of Norway. Polina Seronosova came in 3:22.3 back to Haga with 48th result. Valentina Kaminskaya was 70th (+5:01.1).

Biathlon

Belarus' Nadzeya Skardzina came in 10th, 2:33.0 behind the winner, with one penalty. Darya Domracheva was leading after the first two shooting ranges before missing four times to finish 27th, 3:50.6 behind the winner. Iryna Kryuko was 36th, 4:18.8 back, three penalties. Dzinara Alimbekava finished 56th, 5:56.8 back, four penalties.

In men’s 20km individual Sergey Bocharnikov made one miss and finished 18th (+2:21.5). With three penalties, Uladzimir Chapelin came in 30th (+3:24.1). Maksim Varabei also made three misses was 39th (+3:57.5) and Raman Yaliotnau got 52nd (+4:53.8) with five misses.

Freestyle aerials

Two Belarusian athletes – Olympic champion Alla Tsuper and Hanna Huskova – battled the way to the final. Alexandra Romanovskaya is the only Belarusian freestyle skier who did not qualify for the final.
