The book “Belarusian Outdoor Folk Games” was presented at the 32nd Minsk International Book Fair. It was published by the Belarus Publishing House with the support of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus and the Belarusian Olympic Academy.
The book about the rich heritage of Belarusian folk games was presented on the main stage of the fair by Chairperson of the Belarusian Olympic Academy Natalya Aponchuk. She remarked that the publication made a meaningful contribution to preserving national traditions and to promoting physical and spiritual development of the younger generation.
“Folk games are not just about entertainment,” noted Natalya Aponchuk. “This is an extremely valuable part of our culture, which is passed down from generation to generation. They help develop agility, coordination, team spirit, and also highlight love for the Motherland and respect for traditions.”
The book contains detailed descriptions and rules of many Belarusian folk games adapted for modern use. The target audience includes teachers, parents, and everyone who wants to live a healthy lifestyle.
The book “Belarusian Outdoor Folk Games” will make a great gift for everyone interested in Belarusian culture, sports, and a healthy lifestyle. This publication, as well as other books of the “Success in Sports - Success in Life” series - “Summer Sports” and “Winter Sports” - are available in Belkniga bookstores throughout the country.
