2023 CIS Games: Belarus claim first gold medals

Belarusian athletes won 14 medals on the first competition day of the 2nd CIS Games.

The first gold medals for Belarus were secured by the junior team of Anna Shakun, Valeriya Malkovich, Taisiya Yerchak, Agniya Selivanova, Zlata Buchenkova and Kiryana Shevtsova in rhythmic gymnastics and Greco-Roman wrestler Abubakar Khaslakhanov.

The competition program on 6 August will include 36 medal events.
