The Representative office of the NOC Belarus in the Brest region goes on implementing programs of Olympic education by holding competitions under the aegis of the clubs “Young Olympian”.
Thursday 13th January marks the "one year to go" milestone for Innsbruck 2012! In one year's time, the world's best young athletes of between 15 and 18 years old will attend the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games.
The sport year 2010 has been especially successful for our country as at the XXI Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver (Canada) our freestyle skier Alexey Grishin was the first Belarusian athlete to win a gold medal. Apart from him our biathletes Sergei Novikov and Daria Domracheva made us triumph, having won a silver medal and a bronze one (accordingly) in Vancouver.
On the 24th of December, 2010 athletes from the Gomel region, students from Gomel State University of F. Skarina along with Ded Moroz (local Santa Claus) and Snegurochka (his granddaughter) paid a visit to little patients from the hospital unit of children’s haematology of the Republican scientific center of the radiological medicine and ecology.
For the sixth time already the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus has organized a festive Christmas and New Year show for the children and grandchildren of the champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games.
