Baku 2019. Yana Tretyak, won the gold medal of the summer EYOF.

On July 23 on the third day of competition at the XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival, wrestlers finished their performance. The Belarusian wrestler Yana Tretiak (up to 65 kg) fought for the title of champion of the tournament.

Yana was opposed by Turkish Nesrin Bas. The Belarusian was inferior most part of the battle, but was able to turn the tide of the confrontation in the final seconds! The Turkish coach even asked to review the result, but after the replay the judge issued a verdict - 6: 4 in favor of Tretyak.

Yana Tretyak: “I was preparing only for gold. Before that, I lost the European Championship, so I gathered my thoughts to win this festival. Thanks to the coach for the support. And thanks to mom, although she is far away, her support is felt very strongly. And I am grateful to the team for such powerful support. ”

This is the eighth award of the Belarusian team at the summer ESOF-2019 (3-0-5). All medals were won by wrestlers.
