Belarus, Russia’s Primorye to continue cooperation in sports

Belarus and Russia’s Primorye Territory intend to continue their cooperation in the development of physical education and sports. On 2 June, President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko and Governor of Russia’s Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako held a working meeting at the Olympic Committee’s headquarters in Minsk and praised the high level of bilateral relations.

Viktor Lukashenko emphasized that Oleg Kozhemyako is a welcome guest in Belarus and can always count on the support of the country.

“Much unites us in sports, as in other areas. In Primorye Territory, everyone loves sports - from the governor down to school students. We will continue to cooperate in this direction. It is important for us to use your facilities when preparing for international competitions in the Asian region,” Viktor Lukashenko said.

Oleg Kozhemyako said that the region is always glad to welcome sports delegations from Belarus, and the conditions in Belarus help teams and athletes from Primorye prepare for major competitions.

“Our HC Admiral holds its pre-season training in Minsk every year ahead of the KHL championship. Excellent conditions have been created here. HC Dinamo Minsk achieved outstanding results this past season, and that’s something we need to strive for,” Oleg Kozhemyako said.

The governor of Primorye Territory expressed readiness to further expand cooperation in the development of youth and children’s sports.
