Belarus’ Yauheni Karaliok wins gold at world championship in cycling

At the world championship in track cycling in Germany, Belarus’ Yauheni Karaliok won gold in his scratch cycling, thus becoming a two-time world champion. In 2018, he was the best in scratch in Apeldoorn (Netherlands).

Yauheni Karaliok confidently held the final stage of the race for 60 laps (15 km) and managed to get ahead of the competitors in the finish line. Simone Consonni of Italy finished second, while Spain's Sebastian Mora finished third.

Yauheni Karaliok is a bronze medalist of the II European scratch games, winner of the stages and overall world Cup standings.
