Belarusian athletes won 11 gold medals at the Cup of the Strongest in Brest

The most significant result was achieved by Aleh Tamashevich, who won the shot put competition with a score of 20 m 98 cm. The athlete has a higher achievement this year (21.52), but his stability does not give reason to doubt Aleh's strength and capabilities.

Belarusians at the home tournament showed a number of good results in the discus and hammer throw for men; in the triple jump for women, Anastasia Drozd competed with the famous Russians, who won the bronze medal with 14.13 m. Ekaterina Koneva of Russia won – 14.49 m.

Belarusians dominated the decathlon: Maksim Andraloit and Vitaly Zhuk won gold and silver in this tournament.

Maksim Nesterenko confidently won the triple jump, already in the first exit to the sector he managed to fly 17 m 10 cm. 

Ekaterina Khilmanovich and Ekaterina Zhivaeva showed good form in running disciplines.

Of the grandmaster results in Brest, it is worth noting the high jumper Daniil Lysenko from Russia. His successful first (!) The 2 m 35 cm attempt is the best result in the world at the moment in the current season. His compatriot Maria Kachanova set the third result of the season in the world in the high jump – 2.00 m.

The Cup of the Strongest gathered athletes from Belarus and Russia in Brest, including the winners of the world and European championships. 43 sets of medals were awarded in two days. In total, Belarusians won 11 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze medals. The Russian delegation has won 90 prizes (32-29-29).

The next important start of the athletes will be the Open Championship of Belarus, which Brest will also host from July 24 to 25.
