Brest region. Youth Olympic festival

The Representative office of the NOC Belarus in the Brest region continues its sport and education campaign «Olympism and youth» which was launched at the end of April 2012 and is dedicated to the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London.

A sport complex “Zvezdnii” welcomed the guests and participants of the campaign: the NOC Belarus Representative office in the Brest region director Elena Belokonenko, champions and prize-winners of Europe Championships and World Championships, participants of the  Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney in 2000, masters of sport of the International level in athletics Olga Kardapoltseva and Andrei Makarov as well as young athletes from local secondary schools. 

All the Olympic rituals and symbols such as the parade of the competitors, Olympic anthem, flag of the NOC Belarus and symbolic Olympic torch reminded young athletes about a new edition of the Olympic Games to come in London.

Within the framework of the campaign an Olympic quiz was held and Olympic athletes signed their autographs for young athletes. All the participants of the event received memorable souvenirs from the Representative office of the NOC Belarus in the Brest region such as posters and calendars with Olympic symbols.
