Brest. Youth Olympic festival

The sport and education campaign «Olympism and youth»  initiated and organized by the Representative office of the NOC Belarus in the Brest region  in partnership with the education administration of the Brest regional executive committee  was held in Brest.

All in all 5 educational establishments took part in the Olympic event. The ceremonial parade of the competitors was attended by the NOC Belarus Representative office in the Brest region director Elena Belokonenko, champion and prize-winner of Europe Championships and World Championships, master of sport of the International level in shooting Evgenya Galuzo as well as young athletes from local secondary schools. 

Young athletes competed in long jumps, ball throw, relays and 30m runs. At the end of the Olympic day all the young athletes got prizes and gifts such as memorable souvenirs and photo albums “Olympic Brest region” from a famous athlete Evgenya Galuzo. Besides, she signed her autographs for young athletes.

The finals of the campaign are going to take place on the 23^rd of June, the International Olympic Day. 20 best teams from all the cities of the Brest region are going to take part in the upcoming event. The program of the event will include the Olympic mascot contest, an Olympic quiz, meeting with the athletes-participants and winner of the Olympic Games as well as other fascinating sport events.
