EYOF 2015. Farewell to young Belarusian Olympians

On the eve of the winter European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 a meeting of the team with the leadership of the National Olympic Committee Belarus and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Austria took place at the headquarters of the Belarusian team.

Addressing to the young athletes, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus, first vice-president of NOC Belarus Maksim Ryzhenkov noted that no one demands heroic feats from the guys because everyone is convinced that despite their young age all athletes are already professionals and will make every effort to act with dignity and honor to represent the country.

Secretary-General of the NOC Belarus Anatol Kotau wished good luck to the athletes and asked to remember that the sport is the best diplomat and thanks to the efforts of the young athletes our country will be known all over the world.

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Austria Marianne Mathis explained that she believes in everyone and her dream is to see the guys on the highest step of the podium.

Maksim Ryzhenkov presented to Marianne Mathis a hat and a scarf of the Belarusian team.

Guests were shown rooms in which athletes live, rooms for ski preparation and infrastructure of the hotel because in 4 years Minsk will hold EYOF-2019 in summer and it is very important to study the experience of such events organizing.

Tomorrow, January 26, Belarusian cross-country skiers, figure skaters and alpine skiers will go at the start of the festival.
