
The European U23 Wrestling Championships concluded in Zrenjanin, Serbia. Team Belarus won five gold, two silver, and two bronze medals, securing second place in the medal standings.
Magomedkhan Magamedkhanov (-65kg) emerged victorious in the freestyle wrestling category. In Greco-Roman wrestling Abubakar Khaslakhanau (-97kg) took second place, and Illia Valeuski (- 82kg) was third.
The Belarusian youth women's wrestling team (4-1-1) was crowned the best on the continent. The U23 European champion titles were claimed by Aryna Martynava (-57kg), Kseniya Tsiarenia (-65 kg), Alina Shauchuk (-68 kg), and Viktoryia Radzkova (-72kg). Marta Hetmanava (-59 kg) won silver and Sviatlana Katenka (-50kg) took bronze.
The wrestling team is now preparing for the senior European championships, which will be held in Albania from 20 to 26 April.
