Belarusian freestyle skiers delivered a great performance in the Champions Cup at the Podolino Alpine Skiing Complex in Yaroslavl. Belarusian athletes occupied the entire podiumin the women’s event.Olympic champion Hanna Huskovascored the best result of 86.31 points.
Anna Derugoplaced second with 82.22 points. Bronze went to Anastasiya Andryianova (81.27 points).
Makar Mitrafanau from Belarus placed third, with Maxim Burov of Russia winning the men’s event.
“We have certainly done some very serious tactical work. The weather has made big adjustments for us this season. Everything was not so simple here, in Yaroslavl, either. We planned one thing but had to resort to another. The result is amazing,” Mikhail Kurlovich, head coach of the Belarusian national aerials team said. “The team worked really hard and showed their best. Our girls did well, occupying the entire podium. Makar performed an amazing jump, too. We are satisfied with the results.”
Thirty athletes took part in this year’s Champions Cup in Yaroslavl Oblast. Those were winners and medalists of the European and World Cups, participants of the Olympic Games. Competitions were held in acrobatics and mixed acrobatics events.
