Thanks to his success at Bercy Arena, Belarus’ Ivan Litvinovich became a two-time Olympic champion. The Belarusian was also the first at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The well-known arena in the capital of France could be called all-Belarusian on 2 August. The Belarusian trampoline jumpers confirmed their top world class.
Ivan Litvinovich was determined to repeat the Tokyo success and lived up to these expectations.
In the final Ivan Litvinovich performed seventh and scored a total of 63.090 to beat China’s Zisai Wang (61.890).
Litvinovich kept his hold on the gold and won a standing ovation at the Bercy arena.
Now the two-time Olympic champion Ivan Litvinovich commented on his victory at the legendary arena in Paris.
“I was nervous both before and during the competition. I tried to switch my attention, talked to the coach, did not watch others perform. The opponents showed strong results, this could only knock me off the mood. In general, I defended the title of champion of the Games. This is amazing!
Not a single victory came easy to me. We train very hard. Here in Paris things were difficult too. We prepared seriously. So did the competitors who showed good jumps. I was just a little better," Ivan Litvinovich noted.
