Ivan Tsikhan reelected head of Belarusian Athletics Federation

The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus played host to the reporting and election conference of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.

Ivan Tsikhan was elected head of the Belarusian Athletics Federation for a new four-year term. The renowned Belarusian hammer thrower thanked for the confidence bestowed upon him and promised that he would do his best to make sure that athletics continues stable development. The election procedure was fast. The only application for the post of Chairman of the Belarusian Athletics Federation was received from Ivan Tsikhan. His candidacy was supported unanimously.

Ivan Tsikhan singled out the so-called arm's length athletics as one of the ways to optimize the work in high performance sports. The format of reaching out to urban locations, shopping centers, squares and embankments is steadily gaining popularity all over the world.

A total of 18 specialists were elected to the new Presidium of the Belarusian Athletics Federation: Ivan Tsikhan, Oleg Andreichik, Yevgeni Zalessky, Igor Sivodedov, Aleksandr Roiko, Dzmitry Dziamidzik, Tatsiana Khaladovich, Dmitry Sivov, Natalia Rashchinskaya, Vitaly Bohdan, Vitaly Zhuk, Viktoriya Minchukova, Aleksandr Astashonok, Aleksandr Terlyukevich, Yauheniya Valadzko, Aleksei Yaskovich, Viktor Baranovsky, Yekaterina Tikhon.
