Labastau sensationally wins mass start at Commonwealth Biathlon Cup in Russia

Mikita Labastau of Belarus has won the  mass start at the fourth stage of the Commonwealth Biathlon Cup in Demino, Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia.

The Belarusian did not miss a single shot at the final shooting round, which allowed him to get ahead of all competitors in difficult weather conditions.

Mikita Labastau was the best shooter in the mass start, not missing a single target at four shooting ranges.

“I am very happy. Of course, I’m overwhelmed with joy. First place always feels great. Indeed, many things didn’t work out at the beginning. Yet, in the mass start, I proved to myself that everything was fine with me. My shooting was pretty good. I had recently had a setback in both shooting and skiing. I tried to fix it, to work it out. Today everything went great,” said Mikita Labastau.
