
The standing commission of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus for work with sports federations held its first meeting on 26 February. Chaired by Belarus’ NOC Vice-President Dmitri Dovgalyonok, the session brought together commission members Valentin Borovok, Aleksandr Godlevsky, Aleksandr Grebnev, Igor Yemelyanov, Aleksei Yermolovich, Yulia Komleva, Andrei Krainov, and Vitaly Kreidich.
Earlier, the Commission had audited several federations and organizations recognized by the NOC of Belarus. At the meeting, commission members heard reports on the development of the Belarusian Roller Skating and Skateboarding Federation, the Professional Squash Association, the Belarusian Orienteering Federation, the Contract Bridge association, the Rugby Federation, and the Belarusian Baseball Association.

Following the reports, commission members discussed the current activities and development prospects of these organizations. Additionally, the Commission reviewed applications from the National Tourism and Sport Union and the Belarusian Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Federation for official recognition by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

Following the discussion, the Commission drew up recommendations to be submitted to the Executive Committee of Belarus’ NOC for consideration.

The meeting also addressed organizational matters concerning the internal operations of some federations.
The Commission is also preparing topics for webinars сovering key issues for federations in 2026.
