Minister Kovalchuk, sports community congratulate Belarus’ NOC on 35th anniversary

Sports Minister Sergei Kovalchuk noted that over the years, the NOC of Belarus has served as a reliable pillar for the country’s sport, a driving center that promotes the development of the Olympic movement and unites everyone pursuing high athletic achievements: athletes, coaches, specialists, and all those who share the ideals of Olympism.

“Thanks to your tireless work and dedication, our athletes proudly represent Belarus on the international stage, demonstrating outstanding results, fortitude, and commitment to sporting traditions,” the congratulatory message reads.

The sports minister wished the team inspiration, new accomplishments, and continued prosperity for the good of Belarusian sport and the country.

Senator Dmitry Baskov emphasized that the work of the NOC is not just about competing for medals, it is a comprehensive system of raising the youth in the spirit of patriotism and devotion to their country.

“Thanks to the efforts of the leadership and staff, the Olympic movement in Belarus remains a reliable pillar for athletes, laying the groundwork for the future growth of the nation’s sports potential.

I wish the Olympic family of Belarus the energy to implement the most ambitious projects and unwavering faith in their own strength, regardless of any external challenges. President of the Ice Hockey Federation, Olympic champion, and Chairman of the Athletes’ Commission Aliaksandr Bahdanovich noted in his congratulatory address that the NOC leadership and every member of its staff are doing everything possible to transform Belarusian sport into a modern hub of opportunities for young people.
