NOC president extends birthday greetings to Raman Piatrushenka

The president of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee congratulated Olympic champion Raman Piatrushenka on his 45th birthday.

Viktor Lukashenko said that Raman Piatrushenka has remained one of the world’s best canoe/kayak athletes for decades.

“You rightfully enjoy the respect of the Belarusian Olympic family. A complete collection of Olympic medals: a gold medal from the 2008 Beijing Games, a silver from the 2012 London Olympics, and bronze medals from Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 (K-2) is the result of many years of persistent training. These outstanding achievements have made your career an example of mental fortitude and unparalleled skill. You have proven yourself to be a talented mentor and continue to work successfully with athletes from the friendly China, passing on your experience and bringing glory to the Belarusian rowing school,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of the National Olympic Committee wished Raman Piatrushenka success and inspiration.
