NOC president sends birthday greetings to Svetlana Boginskaya

Svetlana Boginskaya, a renowned Soviet and Belarusian athlete and three-time Olympic champion, celebrated her birthday on 9 February.

President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko sent birthday greetings to the famous gymnast.

“You have inspired many generations of young people in gymnastics. Your talent, skills and perseverance helped you make it to the top at the 1988 Seoul Games. Four years later, in 1992, you showed your best once again,” the message of greetings says.

The head of the NOC of Belarus wished Svetlana Boginskaya health, happiness and wellbeing.
