President of the National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko congratulated the Sport and Tourism Ministry of Belarus on its 30th anniversary.
A ceremonial event took place at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture on 10 November.
Dear colleagues, dear friends!
Today, on this special day for the entire sports community, on behalf of the National Olympic Committee of our country and personally, I congratulate you on a significant date - the 30th anniversary of the Sport and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus!
I am very pleased to note that we have established close ties: the interaction between the NOC of Belarus and the Sport and Tourism Ministry is at its highest point. We know how to work together, we find common language on many issues, and the scope of our cooperation continues to expand.
Over the years, tremendous joint work has been carried out to support and develop physical culture and sports in Belarus. Plans are being implemented to support youth sports, train high-class athletes, and assist federations. Over the past 30 years, we have made significant progress, developed an effective industry management system, set up modern educational institutions, and built international-level sports facilities: stadiums, ice arenas, modern training and health complexes.
Sports infrastructure continues to develop, its quality is improving, and public access to sports is expanding. All this contributes to the upbringing of a healthy generation, the preservation of national sports traditions, and the achievement of high results on the international stage.
Thanks to the important and comprehensive support of the Sport and Tourism Ministry, domestic athletes worthily represent our country at major international tournaments, achieve brilliant victories, and inscribe their names in the global sports chronicles. At the Olympic Games, Belarusian athletes have already surpassed the Soviet milestones in terms of the number of medals. Great achievements of the past and present inspire millions of Belarusians, especially young people, to engage in sports, lead a healthy lifestyle, follow the example of their idols, and strive for new heights.
All these achievements and moments of triumph are the result of years of dedicated work by each of you, everyone who loves sports and who has dedicated their life to it: our talented coaches and athletes, medical workers, researchers, industry specialists, and the sports leadership of Belarus. It is people who have been our wealth and pride, the creators and builders of our reality. It is important to note that the development of the modern sports industry is unimaginable without the contribution of those who stood at its origins. The experience, knowledge, and dedication of veterans have become the foundation on which modern Belarusian sports rely.
Dear friends! Once again I wholeheartedly congratulate and thank the Sport and Tourism Ministry, all employees of our sports industry. I wish you good health, significant successes, the realization of your plans, and inspiration for new grand achievements.
May many brilliant victories lie ahead, and may your efforts continue to benefit our dear Belarus, contributing to the prosperity of sports in our country!
