Olympic Christmas Tree 2025 and Our Space

Children's ringing laughter, colorful decorations, numerous active zones, and a photo lounge, which immediately attracted crowds, made up a magic atmosphere in the lobby of Falcon Club Arena ahead of the start of the Olympic Christmas Tree event.

The traditional celebration gathered about 1,500 children aged from 3 to 13 years old: children and grandchildren of Olympic champions and medalists, sports veterans, representatives of sports and other organizations. The Olympic champions of different years brought their children to the event. Among them were Aleksandr Bahdanovich and Andrei Bahdanovich, Aliaksei Abalmasau. There were also Olympic medalists Mahamed Ariphadzhiyeu and Maryna Litvinchuk. Alexandr Romankov brought his granddaughter. One of the best Belarusian football players Alexander Hleb came to the Christmas tree with his family.

The Christmas performance was opened by President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko.

The head of the National Olympic Committee wished the children strong health, stay active and learn new things.

“Dear children, you have come to the Olympic Christmas Tree from all over Belarus. We are so different, but today we are united today by our good mood, festive feelings, the wish that next year the world would be a little kinder, there would be more warmth in it, and our loved ones would be healthy. It is on New Year's Eve that all wishes come true. You only need to want it very much and make maximum efforts. I wish you in the coming year to be as fast and agile, inquisitive and intelligent, to strive to learn new things. We, the organizers, together with the artists will try very hard to give you a real space celebration,” Viktor Lukashenko said.

In addition to children and grandchildren of Belarusian prominent athletes, the event is traditionally attended by children from various children's social institutions of the country.

The first female cosmonaut from Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya addressed the from the main screen of the stage.

The theatrical performance “Grandfather Frost’s New Year Olympics or Our Space!” (written and directed by Yelena Demukh) was extraordinary and exciting. The children and their parents, grandparents got into the world of adventures with New Year's interactive program, quest-show games, dances and New Year's contests.

At the end of the performance, all the children received sweet gifts and spent a lot of time at venues with various activities.

“We took part in the Christmas Tree ticket lottery. We were pleasantly surprised to win. My daughter is still greatly impressed. We have never participated in such large-scale festivities before,” Liliya Belousova said.

“My son used to come to the event together with his father. This was my first time in several years. I really liked it! My child was also delighted: he collected snowballs and was really happy,” Tokyo Games bronze medalist Vanesa Kaladzinskaya said.

“Every year we expect some kind of surprise at the Olympic Christmas Tree. My son and I enjoyed it very much,” said Maryna Litvinchuk, a three-time Games medalist in canoeing.

“Our children are looking forward to this New Year's celebration. It is great that all those who achieved significant results at the Olympics can see each other at the Christmas tree. I wish everyone success and health in the new year,” Olympic champion in canoeing Aleksandr Bahdanovich wished.

The Olympic Christmas Tree was organized by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the general partner Belagroprombank.
