Olympic New Year celebration of NOC Belarus

For the sixth time already the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus has organized a festive Christmas and New Year show for the children and grandchildren of the champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games.

On the 28th of December, 2010 the Palace of water sports of the sports complex “Olympic” hosted an Olympic festive celebration of the upcoming New Year.

This event gathered more than 100 children aged between 3 and 12.

Igor Zaichkov, first vice-president of the NOC Belarus, came to congratulate children, their parents and grandparents.

His speech was followed by a festive New Year performance, prepared by the students of the Belarusian state university of culture, who acted as some fairytale characters.

Children couldn’t stay indifferent, as the show was extremely interactive and dynamic. To get the prizes children quoted different poems, demonstrated their talents in dancing and singing.

The show, involving fairytale such heroes as Ded Moroz (Father Christmas) and his granddaughter Snegurochka, turned out to be quite joyful and bright.

After the show all the children got presents from the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of ‘Belarus and private enterprise “Coca-cola Beverages Belarus”.
