Olympic silver medalist Ivan Tsikhan returned to Minsk

Belarusian Shot Put legend Ivan Tsikhan arrived in Minsk on August 25.

Along with Ivan, the Belarusian sports top officials Maksim Ryzhenkov, the First Vice-President of NOC Belarus, and Aliaksandr Gagiev, the Chef de Mission of the Belarusian sports delegation in Rio, landed that day. The national Olympic teams in Athletics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Basketball, Modern Pentathlon, as well as administrative and medical staff, also came back to Belarus.

Altogether they were cordially welcomed by their families, friends and supporters, as is also Minister of Sport and Tourism Aliaksandr Shamko, who addressed the President Lukashenko's congratulations to Ivan Tsikhan.

The special guest – Belarusian Olympic mascot Agric – was the first to meet Ivan at the airport doors.
