President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko took part in the Our Children campaign and visited the Begoml Specialized Boarding School.
He was flanked by Olympic champion in canoeing Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, Olympic medalists Natallia Tsylinskaya (cycling, track sprinting), Alina Harnasko (rhythmic gymnastics) and Maksim Nedasekau (athletics, high jump).
The children had carefully prepared for the visit. They staged a performance involving colorful costumes, songs and dances that were meant to create a fairy-tale atmosphere for the guests.
The performance By the Pike's Command…by the students of the Begoml Specialized Boarding School was quite an extravaganza and was enjoyed by all the guests.
Viktor Lukashenko thanked the children and their teachers for their efforts and wished them Happy New Year:
“Thank you very much for the performance. We felt like we were in a real fairy tale. You sang and danced very well, acted very well, you are truly talented. And your teachers, educators undoubtedly also deserve a lot of credit for helping you.
New Year is the time when wishes and dreams come true. At this time, we all want miracles and magic. Miracles happen when you put your heart and mind to it and do everything right. Not like Yemelya from the fairy tale. As Father Frost has said, if you try hard, everything will work out and everyone will be happy. Dear children, each of you is talented in your own way. It is important to amplify your strengths, develop your skills and talents, and you will definitely succeed,” said Viktor Lukashenko.
The president of the NOC of Belarus wished the children that their dreams come true.
“Let New Year be full of magic and bring you a lot of good moments, many friends, great impressions and new skills! Stay healthy! How can you do this? Of course, through regular work-outs and sport. Therefore, I wish you, children, to do sports a lot in 2025, succeed in your studies and make your educators happy. All the best to you!” said Viktor Lukashenko.
According to the famous athletes, the event was very heart-warming and full of New Year vibe. The NOC of Belarus brought gifts for the boarding school students: a virtual electronic laser simulator, projection equipment to design a virtual sensory room, sweets and fruits.
Our famous athletes brought sports equipment: skis with boots, balls, hoops and skipping ropes.
Olympic champion and Chairman of the Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus Aliaksandr Bahdanovich presented sports equipment and received a gift in return:
“We have come to you to bring gifts and do something nice. I look at the children - and it makes my heart sing. It's nice to see you in high spirits. This means that we are doing everything right in our country. By participating in such events, we become better people. We create our own holidays, we make ourselves happier. Everything is in your hands. We, athletes, know that everything comes through hard work. Everything can be achieved if you work for it. We wish you success, happiness, good friends nearby and strong health!
Chairperson of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Natallia Tsylinskaya wished the children academic achievements and thanked them for the performance:
“Let everything in your life happen on time: snow falls in winter, flowers bloom in summer, streams babble in spring, and autumn brings beautiful colors. Everything is attainable in life. Thanks to you, today we have seen that nothing is impossible. We felt the New Year vibe. You have wonderful teachers, so listen to them, study well and then all your dreams will come true. We live in a most beautiful country. Study and work, and we will help you and be by your side,” said Natallia Tsilinskaya.
Director of the Begoml Special Boarding School Valery Mikhailovsky thanked the guests for the gifts and wished them that all their cherished dreams come true in the new year, he also wished prosperity to the country and well-being to all families.
“We have been pleasantly surprised to receive a visit from the NOC of Belarus. The children prepared a concert, they tried hard. Our students love skiing, football, basketball, volleyball, and today our sports infrastructure has been replenished. Thanks a lot to everyone,” the director of the boarding school said.
