Results of competition “Sports Law in the Republic of Belarus”

The results of the 15th edition of the competition “Sports Law in the Republic of Belarus” were announced in May 2025. The competition of essays is designed to develop sports law in the Republic of Belarus.

In 2025, the jury received 66 works, including 39 student works. All in all, about 930 assays took part in the competition over the past years. The award ceremony for the winners and laureates of the competition was held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) on 22 May 2025.

Addressing the participants of the competition with a welcoming speech was Head of the Secretariat of the Belarusian People's Congress, Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Lawyers Valery Mitskevich and First Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Aleksandr Dorokhovich.

Valery Mitskevich presented diplomas to the winners and laureates of the competition in the nominations “Best Work of a Sports Lawyer” and “Best Work of a Lawyer Working Outside the Sports Industry”.

On behalf of the Presidential Sports Club, Natalya Gurianchik and Viktor Derevtsov presented diplomas and prizes (a laptop, a smartphone) to the winners and laureates of the competition in the nomination “Best Student Work”.

On behalf of the YurSpektr company, Dmitry Rimsha, Deputy Director General for Public Relations of the company, presented cash certificates to all winners and laureates of the competition.


For the first time, the Sports and Tourism Ministry awarded the authors of the best essays covering the most relevant topics for the ministry. Gifts were presented by Aleksandr Dorokhovich and Head of the Legal Department of the Sports and Tourism Ministry Olga Demish.

In the nomination established by the NOC, the award to the winner was presented by Head of the Legal and Personnel Department Natalya Grivo.

Special mention diplomas and diplomas for the best scientific work of academic degree seekers were presented by Aleksandr Shklyarevsky, Dean of the Law Faculty of Belarusian State Economic University, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Lawyers.

The works of the winners and laureates of the competition will traditionally be published in the collection of articles “Sports Law in the Republic of Belarus”. Its 15th issue will be publicized in 2025. The article of the winner in the nomination “Best Scientific Work by an Academic Degree Seeker” is recommended for publication in the Law in Modern Belarusian Society Journal.

Winners in the nomination “Best Work of a Sports Lawyer”

1st place – Aleksandr Zhukovich, Director of the Brest Oblast Children's and Youth Olympic Reserve School for Equestrian Sports and Modern Pentathlon.

1st place – Olga Kobzar, postgraduate student of the Civil Procedures and Labor Law Department of the Law Faculty of Belarusian State University, legal adviser at the Tennis in Solnechny sports and recreation center.

2nd place – Anton Zubov, legal adviser at the Neurosport company.

3rd place – Vladimir Maslovsky, athlete-instructor at FC Smorgon.

Winners in the nomination “Best Work of a Lawyer Working Outside the Sports Industry”

1st place – Ruslan Bereznev, Deputy Head of the Civil and Labor Law Department of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

1st place – Yevgeny Popov, Deputy Head of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.


2nd place – Gasan Ismail oglu Guliyev, intern at a law firm (Saratov, Russia).

3rd place – Aleksandra Zhuk, teacher at Molodechno Trade and Economic College.

3rd place – Kristina Savitskaya, senior teacher at the Civil Law Department of Polotsk State University.

1st place - Valery Slabeiko, 4th-year student of the Law Faculty of Belarusian State University.

2nd place - Anna Demidkova, 2nd-year student of the Economics and Law Faculty of Mogilev State University.

3rd place - Alina Brazevich, 3rd-year student of the Law Faculty of Belarusian State University.

3rd place - Kirill Kirik, 3rd-year student of Law College of Belarusian State University.
