Aryna Sabalenka regained the title of the first racket of the world in the ranking of the World Women's Association (WTA).

Sabalenka topped the world rankings for the first time in September 2023, after reaching the final at the US Open.

Sabalenka will try to consolidate the landmark date in the Belarusian sport at the WTA-2024 World Tour Finals, which will be held from November 2 to 9 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

Aryna commented on her achievement rather modestly, “№ 1…. Let’s see for how long this time”.

This season, Sabalenka has 28 wins at WTA-1000 tournaments.

Earlier in 2012, Victoria Azarenka won the Australian Open and became the first Belarusian tennis player to top the singles rankings.

In doubles, Natalia Zvereva, Aryna Sabalenka and Maxim Mirnyi were among the Belarusians who reached the top of the world tennis ranking.
