
Aryna Sabalenka won the 2026 Indian Wells WTA-1000 on her third attempt.
In the decisive match, the world's No.10 faced Elena Rybakina, who will take the second spot in the WTA ranking on Monday.
The final score was 3-6, 6-3, 7-6.

On her way to the final Wells Aryna Sabalenka defeated Hineme Sakatsume of Japan; Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian; Japan’s Naomi Osaka and Canada’s Victoria Mboko in the quarterfinals and Linda Nosková of Czechia in the semifinals.
That was Sabalenka’s third career final in Indian Wells. She lost to Rybakina in two sets 6-7, 4-6 in the 2023 final and to Russia’s Mirra Andreeva in 20205. Sabalenka has won 8 of 15 meetings against Rybakina (Indian Wells was the ninth).
Belarusian Victoria Azarenka won the Indian Wells tournament in 2012 and 2016.
