Ilya Shymanovich of Belarus won the Men’s 100m Breaststroke at the Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 in Incheon, the Republic of Korea.
In the preliminary heat the Belarusian shared the best time with Caspar Corbeau of the Netherlands.
Ilya Shymanovich timed 56.10 seconds to secure gold in the final. Caspar Corbeau of the Netherlands finished third. Haiyang Qin of China touched in second.
Alina Zmushka of Belarus placed fourth in the Women’s 200m Breaststroke.
The Belarusian clocked 2:19.84 to finish behind the athletes of the USA, Australia and Korea. Kate Douglass of the USA set a new world record of 2:14.16.
Anastasiya Shkurdai of Belarus clocked 26.69 seconds to finish seventh in the Women’s 50m Backstroke.
Stop 2 in Incheon will be over on 26 October. Stop 3 will take place in Singapore on 21 October-2 November.
The Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 is a qualifier for the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in Budapest slated for December 2024.
