The official ceremony of the drawing of lots Champions League futsal finals - the “Final Four” was made at NOC Belarus

The draw was held by the famous Belarusian football player Alexander Hleb, who played for FC BATE Borisov, Arsenal from London, FC Barcelona and other famous football clubs, together with the Head of the UEFA futsal and beach soccer committee and the General Secretary of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Alaev.

At the end of April two clubs from Russia (MFK KPRF and Tyumen), as well as two clubs from Spain (Barça and Murcia FS) will play at the Minsk Arena venue.

Following the draw, Barça will play with MFK KPRF, and the other Spanish team Murcia FS will meet with Tyumen.

Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Baraulia thanked UEFA for the opportunity to hold the final stage of the competition. He said that we highly appreciate having the right to organize the final stage of the Champions League Futsal. Minsk has all necessary infrastructure for holding tournaments of such a level.

“Minsk is considered to be one of the sports capitals of Europe. All necessary infrastructure is well developed here, modern complexes have been built. We are sure that the capital of Belarus will hold a “Final of Four” at a high level,” claimed Alexander Alaev.

Semi-finals will take place on April 24, a competition for bronze medals and a final match for the main trophy of the Champions League will be on April 26. Last season the winner of this tournament was the Sporting CP based in Lisbon (Portugal), who defeated FC Kairat from Almaty (Kazakhstan) in the final match. Barça took the third place.

Minsk became the first city in history to host the Champions League Futsal stages three times in a row. Last year at the Sports Palace Uruchie, the group stages of the main and elite rounds, were the Minsk club Stolitsa took part, were successfully completed.

The tournaments were highly praised by UEFA, after which the Belarusian capital was given the right to become the host of the final stage of the “Final Four”.
