The opening ceremony of the XVIII Summer EYOF: sport and friendship without borders

A three-hour program unfolded at the Yane Sandansky Sports Center for opening ceremony European Youth Olympic Festival. The solemn event was remembered not only by young athletes, but also by numerous spectators, symbolizing the celebration of sports and friendship.

The focus was on the bright performances of the artists who created a unique atmosphere. Dance numbers, dynamic musical compositions and colorful lighting effects immersed the audience in the world of sports and Olympic values.

The ceremony culminated in a parade of teams. To loud applause from the stands, the athletes marched through the arena, demonstrating the sporting spirit, the desire to win and unity in the love of sports.

– Our delegation has arrived in Skopje and will take part in the festival for the first time since 2021. We got there well. We were on the road all day yesterday, but we were happy. We've already gone to train. The opening ceremony will take place today, and the competition will start tomorrow, which will last 5 days. The Belarusian team will perform in the uniform of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus in the national colors. This will happen for the first time in the last four years. We hope that the guys will show everything they are capable of, the maximum result they are ready for now. And the whole country will be rooting for them, – said Vasily Yurchik, head of the mission of the Belarusian delegation at the XVIII Summer EOYF.
