Viktor Lukashenko extends greetings to new IOC president

President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko has congratulated Kirsty Coventry on her election as President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

“Your election symbolizes a turning point in the history of the International Olympic Committee, and I am sure that your vision and experience will lead the organization to new heights.”

Viktor Lukashenko noted that the NOC of Belarus counts on the positive changes and initiatives that the new head of the IOC will bring to the organization, strengthening ties between countries and promoting equality, sportsmanship and the ideals of fair play.

“Your leadership will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Olympic Games and ensuring that it remains a symbol of unity and fairness.”

The NOC head wished Kirsty Coventry strong health and fulfillment of all plans in her responsible position.
