Vitebsk region. «Good luck, Olympians!»

During the “Olympic” year the Representative office of the NOС Belarus in the Vitebsk region has initiated a lot of activities aimed at promoting the Olympic movement all over the region.

  The results of the regional contest on creating the best post card have been summed up and all the athletes of the region that are going to take part in the Olympic Games in London have received personal post card from the winners of the contest. Among the athletes are Natallia Mikhnevich (athletics,  shot put), Vadim Devyatovskiy (athletics, hammer throw), Alina Talay (athletics, hurdles), Maryna Damantsevich (athletics, marathon), Tatsiana Sharakova (cycling), Yana Maksimava (athletics, heptathlon), Maryna Arzamasava (athletics, 400m), Ivan Trotski (athletics, walk), Maryna Shkermankova (weightlifting), Yauheni Zharnasek (weightlifting), Aliaksandr Makaranka (weightlifting), Alena Chychkan (weightlifting).  

  The young participants of the contest addressed their favorite athletes pointing out how lucky they are to get a chance to send their wishes to the best athletes of the country, that the young generation believes in their success at the Olympic Games in London. “We are looking forward to your victories which will demonstrate that a great country has brought up great athletes”. “Be a perfect example for the young, for the strong and the brave”. “We are proud of you and we believe in you”.

  Let’s hope that these nice words will become an additional stimulus for our athletes on the way to the Olympus.
