Zuyeva has got ahead of herself on lowland rinks – head coach

Head coach of the Belarusian speed skating team Sergey Minin estimates Maryna Zuyeva’s final  11th position in ladies’ 3000m as a ceiling of her current abilities.

“She was too preoccupied. It is a tough psychological pressure on any athlete to start on the first day of the Olympiad. Final results of the world leading skaters were extremely tight”, thinks head coach.

With all that he said, Minin underscored that today Maryna set her personal record (4:05.96) on lowland rinks.

Head coach recalled Zuyeva has three more competitions ahead in 1500m, 5000m and mass start.
