Anton Smolski won a silver medal at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing!
The Belarusian shot clean to finish second in the Men’s 20km Individual race in Zhangjiakou. He showed speedy and accurate shooting on the final range and crossed the finish line 14.8 seconds behind the winner.
France’s Quentin Fillon Maillet clinched gold. Bronze went to Johannes Boe of Norway.
It is the 20km Individual race that Belarus has had its best results at the Olympic Games in recent years.
In Vancouver 2010 Sergey Novikov finished second in the individual race sharing silver with legendary Norwegian Ole Einar Bjoerndalen.
