Football club ML Vitebsk became Belarusian champions for the first time

In a home match of the 29th round, the "ML Vitebsk" team convincingly defeated Gomel 5-0 and secured the championship with one round remaining.

For the first time in the modern history of Belarusian football, a debutant managed to win the championship title in the Premier League. For the first time, a team from the Vitebsk region won gold medals.

"Dynamo" Minsk defeated "Dynamo" Brest 2-0 on the road and with silver. "Slavia" Mozyr won bronze, unexpectedly losing 3-2 at home to Minsk.

The standings in the leading group after 29 rounds are: ML Vitebsk - 67 points, Dynamo Minsk - 62, and Slavia - 54. At the bottom of the standings are "Molodechno" and "Slutsk", who are relegated. They will be replaced next season by players from "Baranovichi" and "Dnepr" Mogilev.
