“The second period was the decisive one. We took the lead and then managed the game in the final period. CSKA had a strong start and dominated the entire opening period. They are tough, physically strong players with great skills. We could talk a lot about them, but we are just happy about the win,” the coach of HC Dinamo Minsk Dmitri Kvartalnov noted. “Our forwards came out with a different approach after the first break. They stepped up, winning their battles and getting the puck to the net. In the final, the team was outstanding, blocking shots, committing fully, playing as a team, and helping out our goalkeeper,” he said.
HC Dinamo Minsk will next face HC Spartak Moscow on 22 November.
