From 8 to 9 June, the Latvian capital welcomes chiefs of the National Olympic Committees from the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia. The Belarusian delegation at the international forum is led by NOC First Vice-President Andrei Astashevich.
In the course of two days, the leaders of 15 NOCs will be discussing the Olympic Movement and education development issues, students’ sport perspectives and exchange experience in sport and medicine, science and mass media networking. Apart from that, in the framework of the summit, Director of the II European Games 2019 Directorate and NOC Belarus Secretary General George Katulin will read out the progress report on the upcoming multisport event in the Belarusian capital.
In September 2017 the regional forum of the CIS, Baltic and Georgian NOCs was held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
