The top 36 projects, selected earlier by sports industry experts, renowned athletes, and media representatives, are now competing for the award’s main prizes.
President of the NOC of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko addressed the finalists in a welcoming speech:
“We have now reached the culmination of our marketing award, which attracted over 150 applications from across the sports community, including clubs, federations, bloggers, and media representatives. Such a broad participation is proof that our event is both relevant and in demand.
I welcome the finalists and everyone who participated. I am confident this experience will be useful for you. On this platform, you will find like-minded people, hear fresh ideas, and gain new insights that I am sure you will apply in the future, proving yourselves once again.
I extend my gratitude to the award partners who co-organized this event and acknowledge the tireless work of the jury, which continues today. I wish you an impartial approach in evaluating the projects to ensure objective decisions.
We hope this first award is successful and will be followed by many more. Perhaps we will pioneer new initiatives on this platform, as marketing is ever-evolving and creative. The marketing and media sectors will always support such endeavors.
I wish you productive work and good luck! Tomorrow, we will celebrate the best of the best.”
Projects were presented today by the Presidential Sports Club, HC Dinamo Minsk, the Belarusian Gymnastics Association, the basketball and volleyball federations, the Belarusian Cycling Federation, the Minsk Cycling Club, and many others.
“We wanted to create a platform for event organizers, primarily competition organizers, to share experience and to engage sponsors, allowing them to explore future funding opportunities and support promising ideas in Belarusian sport. Of course, we also aim to reward the teams, organizations, and projects that make sport in our country interesting and beautiful,” noted Aliaksei Karnei, Head of the Event Organization Sector at the NOC of Belarus.
Anastasia Petrovich, a representative of the award’s general partner, Betera, emphasized:
“Betera is pleased to support projects that set new standards. Our company is a reliable partner of key federations and championships in the country and invests in the development and popularization of sport in Belarus. We see that sports marketing is growing more ambitious. Becoming the general partner of the Pro Sport Marketing Award confirms our commitment to advancing sports marketing in the country.”
Liubou Charkashyna, Olympic bronze medalist and jury member, remarked:
“It is truly exciting to be immersed in sports from a marketing perspective. This award provides a huge impetus for that. It will awaken all our federations and show them: ‘You organize competitions, run events and social projects, you produce videos because you want people to hear about your sport, so here is your first platform, your first materials. Pay attention, learn from the best, and grow.’ We look forward to even more applications in the future.”
“This is the first award, the first competition, so the excitement is palpable. I would like to thank the National Olympic Committee. If journalists are considered an additional player on the team, then those who popularize sports through modern media are another essential player. Without them, in my opinion, there can be no true development or popularization of sports,” said Sergey Rutenko, Chairman of the Belarusian Tennis Federation.
Betera is the general partner of the project.
