Belarus claims silver of 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

Nicolas Alvarado's men faced the many-time winner of the world beach soccer champion title in the 2025 Beach Soccer World Cup final.


The opponents showed a very good game. In the early minutes of the second period Brazil led 3-1.


Yauheni Novikau scored a goal for Belarus on Ihar Bryshtsel's assist. Later, Ihar Bryshtsel capitalized on the opponents' mistake to narrow the gap to the minimum, 2-3, in the third period. Very soon Ihar Bryshtsel produced another quick-fire goal to level off the score, 3-3.

It was Rodrigo who put the final score on the board killing off the contest.

Belarus has won its first ever World Cup silver in team sports!

At the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Belarus topped Group A, and defeated Iran and Senegal in the playoffs.

The team’s previous best achievement was fourth place at the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai.
