Belarus’ NOC Athletes Commission formed

The Executive Board of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus held a meeting on 17 May to form a new composition of the Athletes Commission.

A day before, on 16 May, during the National Athletes Forum, eight members of the commission were elected, including Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, Katsiaryna Halkina, Aliaksandr Hleb, Alina Harnasko, Maksim Nedasekau, Sergei Rutenko, Dzinara Smolskaya, and Alla Tsuper.

In line with the regulations on the Athletes Commission, the Executive Board appointed two more members - Liudmila Kalinchik and Ignat Golovatsiuk - to ensure gender equality and representation of various sports in the commission.

Chairman of the Belarusian Freestyle Skiing Federation Aleksandr Penigin was awarded the commendation letter of the NOC of Belarus for his services to the Olympic movement, amateur and professional sports.

The Executive Board also considered other issues related to the current activities of the organization.
