FIVB to allow Belarusian teams to compete in volley tournaments

The Board of Administration of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has cleared Belarusian national teams for competitions held under the auspices of the organization, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus.

The FIVB Board of Administration followed the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of 7 May 2026 and allowed Belarus’ national teams to take part in international competitions. This decision also applies to beach volleyball national teams of all age groups. Since 1 January 1 2026, the country’s junior and youth teams have been permitted to compete in FIVB tournaments. Currently, the Belarusian Volleyball Federation is awaiting a decision from the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) regarding participation in continental competitions.

Just a day earlier, the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) and World Boxing announced the full reinstatement of Belarusian athletes’ rights.
