Belarus’ NOC president congratulates Yauheni Zalaty on Paris Olympics silver

President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko congratulated member of the Belarusian national rowing team Yauheni Zalaty on winning a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Games:

Dear Yauheni, you clinched this medal in a beautiful tense competition, beating many world’s best athletes and proving that you are one of the world’s best today.

The whole country rooted for you. Amid the unprecedented pressure, you demonstrated your stalwart will and secured the Olympic medal, thus bringing joy to the Belarusian fans, coaching staff and to your family!

I am sure that together we can overcome any circumstances and withstand any pressure with dignity. May the Belarusian rowing athletes be heard in the international arena many more times,” the message of greetings reads.

Viktor Lukashenko wished the athlete good health, every success, family prosperity and many victories. May Zalaty have the Olympic gold yet to come!
